I did this for my Sil..4 yrs back :) When i was going through my album i found this and decided to put it up. Both of us had gone out shopping and had bought this sheet but we could not find a matching pillow cover. So, we went and bought a plain cover and i traced the picture from the sheet and did the embroidery..the colours dont match much since at that time i did not get the same colour thread and they were in a hurry they had to travel back home the next day. but all in all.. it came out well. :)
As the season changed from summer to fall..it was time to change from active to passive mode.. so out comes the wool and the crochet hook. What should I do?? what should the next project be.. ???🧐🧐 So then I decided to learn some thing new in crochet.. and as always YouTube one of my best friends.. was summoned and we browsed for some easy crochet stitches.. went through a few videos and finally decided on the Waffle stitch.. now time to learn.. went through many videos and tried out few samples.. once you get the rhythm it seemed pretty easy because it’s just a repeating stitch.. so now it was time to decide on the project.. keep it simple was the motto.. so I settled for a cushion cover.. it was time consuming but well worth the effort.. Please do try it.. Some videos to learn from Https://YouTube.be/YMH18HCuEcY Https://YouTube.be/ULaQq1IYZEU Https://YouTube.be/FBNvr3dm-2k
I know its been sometime now since I have written here, been kind of busy with things at home, but today I had some time and was browsing when I saw this blog http://deepashome.blogspot.com/ I really loved to see her work. They are so beautiful. I was going through her tutorial and decided to give it a try. I tried out the Chemanthy work and did it with ordinary cotton thread and hope it has come out right. It was fun trying out somethign new. Thank you Deepa :) http://deepashome.blogspot.com/2008/07/chemanthy-work-indian-embroidery-method.html
